이스포츠의 성장 방향 모색 -이스포츠의 이미지와 성장가능성 인식을 중심으로-

Abstract

본 연구는 이스포츠의 성장 방향 모색을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 인구사회학적 특성과 이스포츠에 대한 인지도, 취미 여부를 중심으로 이스포츠의 긍정적 이미지와 성장가능성 인식의 영향요인을 실증분석하였다. 분석결과, 인구사회학적 특성에 따라 이스포츠의 긍정적 이미지와 성장가능성 인식은 평균적으로 차이가 발생하였다. 또한, 이스포츠에 대한 인지도가 높거나 이스포츠를 취미로 하는 경우 이스포츠의 이미지와 성장가능성을 긍정적으로 인식하는 결과를 보였다. 본 연구는 분석결과를 바탕으로 인구사회학적 특성에 맞는 지방정부 차원의 정책 개발과 이스포츠에 대한 국민들의 적극적인 참여 제고가 필요함을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the growth direction of the e-sports. This study empirically analyzed factors affecting the positive image of e-sports and perception of growth potential, focusing on demographic characteristics, awareness of e-sports, and participation. As a result of the analysis, there was an average difference between the positive image of e-sports and the perception of growth potential according to demographic characteristics. In addition, when the awareness of e-sports is high or if e-sports is a hobby, the image and growth potential of e-sports are perceived positively. Based on the analysis results, this study suggests that it is necessary to develop policies at the local government level suitable for demographic characteristics and to enhance active participation of the public in e-sports.
