This study investigates the factors affecting the recognition of the need to expand roles and the scope of social enterprises. In particular, this study focuses on how the member of the National Assembly trust in social enterprises affects the role of social enterprises and the need to expand their scope. For analysis, this study uses <2016 Social Value Survey> of the center for Social Value Enhancement Studies and subdivide the types of trust based on the characteristics of social enterprises. The results show that the legal and ethical trust, professional management ability trust, and the creation of social values trust such as improvement of the quality of life for local residents have a positive impact on the need to expand roles and the scope of social enterprises. In addition, both conservative and progressive values member of the National Assembly recognize trust in improving the quality of life for local residents of social enterprises, while conservative member of the National Assembly recognized their roles as enterprises such as professional management skills. These findings suggests that in order to expand roles and the scope of social enterprises, related legislation should be carried out effectively through the member of the National Assembly and it is important for social enterprises to improve their own capabilities.
