This study aims to identify lexicographical issues by analyzing the presentation of translations and definitions for adnominal noun headwords in bilingual dictionaries, reflecting user intuition. Focusing on the Korean-English dictionary within the Korean Basic Dictionary as a learners’ dictionary, aspects of translations and definition presented for adnominal noun headwords were examined. Descriptions using a nominalizing ending ‘-(으)ㅁ’ overwhelmingly dominated. For translations ‘being(-ing)’ type was the most frequent, and for the concepts in each translation, noun vocabulary appeared most often. Survey on bilingual speakers' intuitions revealed discrepancies between dictionary presentations and user intuitions regarding translated words. Concluding, practical ways of dictionary presentation for adnominal nouns were discussed.
