<jats:p>The Sb<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>S<jats:sub>3</jats:sub>-based photoanode is combined with a silicon photocathode for implementing a bias-free photoelectrochemical tandem device driving hydrogen evolution reaction coupled with IOR, affording operation current density of 4 mA cm<jats:sup>−2</jats:sup>.</jats:p>
